West Quoddy Light Station
When one visits this light house, you are about as far east as you can get in the United States. Were it not for my iPhone on the day we visited, I would not have realized I had entered the Atlantic Time Zone when I came down the road from Lubec, Maine. The gray sky on the day of our visit complemented the bright colors of this light station nicely.
The West Quoddy Head Light, located in Lubec, Maine, is the easternmost lighthouse in the United States, marking the first point of land touched by the sunrise each day. This iconic lighthouse, with its distinctive red and white stripes, overlooks the Quoddy Narrows, a channel between the U.S. and Canada, offering stunning views of the rugged coastline and the Bay of Fundy. It has guided mariners since 1808 and remains a beloved symbol of Maine’s maritime heritage.
This print is available in Metal, Acrylic, Canvas or as an Archival Print.
