Lying in the Light

from $60.00

This is a reproduction print of the original Watercolor Artwork by Stephanie C McQuade completed in 2022.

This watercolor painting titled "Lying in the Light" by Stephanie C. McQuade depicts a serene and ethereal winter scene featuring a polar bear resting amidst a snowy landscape. The bear's contemplative expression is softened by the glow of a lantern, which it gently holds with its paw. The lantern casts a warm, golden light, contrasting with the cool blues and whites of the surrounding snow.

In the background, tall evergreen trees emerge from a misty, snow-laden atmosphere, blending seamlessly with the gradient sky that transitions from pale blue to soft gray. The falling snow enhances the peaceful, dreamlike quality of the piece. McQuade’s delicate brushwork and use of watercolor create a harmonious balance of light and shadow, inviting the viewer to reflect on the calm beauty of nature and the gentle strength of the polar bear.
